As I start my first blog on my newly revised website, the title could refer to me pondering over the future of my art & design career - but alas no! It's actually a reference to a new pair of posters I have designed that are to be installed at Elstree & Borehamwood Train Station in the coming days.
Hertsmere Borough Council and Thameslink Railways commissioned an information map of the town with key buildings and services marked out for visitors and locals alike. It is to be located in the station forecourt, close to bus terminals and will mark a visitor's entrance point to the town.
Next to it is a smaller poster celebrating the major changes and improvements that have been made to the forecourt as part of the First Impressions project, in partnership with Elstree Screen Heritage. Over the last 6 years, the project has added attractive planting, a walk of fame, welcoming signs, a wall sculpture and heritage panels, as well as graphic features within the station itself, all promoting the rich film heritage of Borehamwood. I'm proud to have been a part of this worthwhile project and hope to continue to offer my design skills for further additions in the future.
